BONDERITE® M-PT R-1

BONDERITE® M-PT R-1 (also known as FOSRINSE R-1) is a neutralizing agent that eliminates residual acidity on phosphate-coated steel surfaces prior to cold forming. By effectively neutralizing acidity, BONDERITE® M-PT R-1 ensures that subsequent coatings and lubricants adhere more uniformly, leading to enhanced performance and longevity of the treated metal parts. Additionally, the use of this neutralizing agent serves as a critical step in preserving the integrity of the metal, as it helps to safeguard against potential defects that could arise from acidic residues. The application of BONDERITE® M-PT R-1 is versatile, allowing it to be either sprayed onto the metal surfaces or used in an immersion bath, depending on the specific requirements and setup of the metal processing facility. The recommended starting concentration is 1.6 to 2.0 lbs of product per 100 gallon bath.
