BONDERITE® L-FG DG 349 ACHESON

BONDERITE® L-FG DG 349 ACHESON (also known as ACHESON DELTAGLAZE 349) protects and lubricates titanium alloys during precision forging and extruding operations between 1500 to 1800 °F. This graphite-free lubricating coating is formulated with specialty glass and organic resin, and dries within minutes of application. BONDERITE® L-FG DG 349 ACHESON lowers oxidation and gas absorption while providing excellent finish, adhesion, and controlled metal flow. The coating can be quickly removed from forged parts with sand-blasting or a salt bath. BONDERITE® L-FG DG 349 ACHESON should be used with a Deltaforge die lubricant to prevent glass transfer to the dies or stuck forgings. Additionally, it enhances the overall efficiency of metal processing by ensuring uniform temperature distribution and reducing thermal stress on the dies. This leads to extended die life and reduced maintenance costs. BONDERITE® L-FG DG 349 ACHESON can be dipped or brushed, but spraying is recommended for a uniform coating. By opting for spraying, users can achieve an even layer that maximizes surface protection and adherence.
