BONDERITE® L-FG F 31M ACHESON

69

BONDERITE® L-FG F 31M ACHESON is a high-performance graphite-in-water die lubricant that demonstrates exceptional lubrication and release for hot, warm, and precision forging processes.

Product Overview

BONDERITE® L-FG F 31M ACHESON (previously known as Deltaforge F-31M) is a water-based graphite lubricant with a specialty stabilizer and binder system. Because of these attributes and its unique particle size and distribution, this product is one of the most widely used forging die lubricants in the world. It exhibits superior lubricity and release properties, faster surface wetting, higher dilution ratios, and prolonged die life. Its special stabilizer and binder system gives it excellent stability and prevents separation and settling in the concentrate, ensuring a uniform coating when sprayed and reliable performance. It is ideally suited for challenging press work that necessitates exceptional lubricity and involves highly automated processes, including hot, warm, and precision forging operations. BONDERITE® L-FG F 31M ACHESON is odorless and smokeless, which results in better working conditions, and performs across a wide temperature range.

Problems Solved

Graphite settling in forging lubricants can lead to inconsistent die coatings, which affect lubricity and release properties and can result in stuck forgings that increase downtime and costs. This is particularly problematic in high-demand manufacturing environments where efficiency and precision are paramount. Inadequate lubrication not only shortens die life, leading to more frequent replacements and higher expenses, but also compromises part quality, thereby heightening the risk of increased scrap and rework. Consequently, manufacturers face rising material costs and waste disposal issues, significantly impacting overall production economics.
