BONDERITE® L-MR B-200

72

BONDERITE® L-MR B-200 is a medium-oil-content, semi-synthetic machining and grinding fluid formulated with bio-resistant technology for ferrous and aluminum metals.

Product Overview

BONDERITE® L-MR B-200 (previously known as MULTAN B-200) is a medium-oil-content, semi-synthetic metalworking lubricant suitable for machining and grinding ferrous and most aluminum alloys. The combination of lubricity and cooling characteristics provides exceptional performance in light-duty non-ferrous machining to moderate-duty ferrous machining and grinding processes. The machining fluid is designed with bio-resistant additive technology, eliminating the need for tankside biocides and protecting the sump from unpleasant odors and biofouling. Because of its superb wetting and emulsion properties, the lubricant provides a cleaner system and operation, thereby consuming less product and reducing downtime. This increases operational efficiencies by lessening maintenance needs and improving machine performance. BONDERITE® L-MR B-200 is ideal for cast iron and steel machining applications when lubricity, bio resistance, cleanliness, and cooling performance are necessary. The fluid also maintains a stable emulsion to ensure prolonged effectiveness and reliability in various machining applications. The recommended starting dilution is 5% to 10% but can vary depending on the machining operation.

Problems Solved

Excessive heat generated during machining can lead to significant tool or part wear, consequently shortening the lifespan of both the equipment and the parts being worked on. Poor lubricity performance from conventional machining fluids often increases friction, reducing the quality of machined surfaces. Biofouling within the sump can cause notorious "Monday morning odors," which are both unpleasant and indicative of microbial contamination that can harm system efficiency. Furthermore, dirty coolant systems can lead to build-up on tools and parts, increasing maintenance demands. Lastly, fluid incompatibility with various metals can be a significant challenge, adding complexity and forcing manufacturers to source more lubricants.
