Product Overview

BONDERITE® S-AD 55 (known as RODINE 55) acid inhibitor is designed for sulfuric acid pickling to protect steel substrates during the pickling process. This powder additive contains a wetting agent which allows the pickling solution to penetrate wire coils or rod bundles. The wetting agent also minimizes pickling bath mist and fuming by creating a foam blanket.

 

Applications

BONDERITE® S-AD 55 is a powdered inhibitor designed for use in conventional sulfuric acid pickling operations up to 190° F. It should be added as uniformly as possible over the entire surface of the bath and stirred for dispersion.
