BONDERITE® L-CA CP 786 ACHESON

66

BONDERITE® L-CA CP 786 ACHESON is a water-free release agent designed with exceptional wetting, release, and lubrication characteristics for high-pressure die casting.

Product Overview

BONDERITE® L-CA CP 786 ACHESON, previously known by the name Deltacast CP-786, is an advanced, ready-for-use, water-free release agent specifically formulated for oil-spray applications in aluminum and magnesium high-pressure die casting processes. This lubricant is designed to provide exceptional release performance and superior wetting properties, even in high temperatures, thereby enhancing overall process efficiency. The product features an impressively wide temperature range capability, effectively performing from room temperature to up to 400°C without leaving bothersome buildup on the dies.

Its noncorrosive nature ensures that equipment in direct contact with the lubricant remains protected, reducing maintenance needs. Furthermore, the resistance to bacterial fouling maintains a more hygienic working environment and mitigates the typical issues that arise with water-based release agents. The high cleanliness that BONDERITE® L-CA CP 786 ACHESON imparts to part surfaces facilitates subsequent procedures such as painting and plating, resulting in a smoother workflow. This high-performing casting lubricant is compatible with both aluminum and magnesium metal alloys.

Problems Solved

Buildup on high-pressure casting dies can significantly impair the efficiency of the die casting process, necessitating frequent maintenance and cleaning. Bacterial fouling is another common issue, particularly prevalent with water-based lubricant types, which can lead to unscheduled downtimes and hygiene concerns. During high-temperature operations, castings can become stuck, resulting in excessive die wear that further strains maintenance budgets. Machinery corrosion is another critical concern; if left unchecked, it reduces equipment lifespan and inflates operational costs. Furthermore, dirty cast parts can complicate subsequent processes such as painting or plating, potentially leading to defects in the finished products.
